Inns Court Community & Family Centre vacancies

We, the trustees of the Inns Court Community & Family Centre (ICCFC), are recruiting for a number of roles for our brand new projects, Boing! Softplay Family Centre and Community Café.  These include the Boing! Inns Court Manager, Café Co-ordinator and, in the very near future, Party Host and volunteer positions.

In partnership with community organisations including South Bristol Children’s Centre and Inns Court Christian Fellowship, we have been serving the Inns Court and wider Knowle community for 22 years.  We rent our centre to community based groups and organisations who run much needed and wanted activities including martial arts, Slimming World, toddler groups and community lunches.  This is in addition to managing space for such tenants as Knowle West Nursery School, the church, as well as Family Action, a national family support charity, which operates a very popular Food Club at the centre.  We also run a successful community transport service which has been a lifeline to more senior residents during the various lockdowns over the past 12 months.

In June this year, we will launch our latest projects – Boing! Softplay Family Centre and Inns Court Community Cafe.  Boing! was established in Lockleaze in 2011 and is a successful community social enterprise with all profits ploughed back into the centre and community.  It combines quality softplay equipment, designed for 0-5 year olds, with an affordable café for parents/carers.  Whilst children play safely nearby, we get to know their parents/carers, connecting them with other like-minded people and signposting them to helpful support services.  We will be franchisees of this, Bristol’s second Boing!, and we are very excited about what it will bring to the Inns Court and wider community: the plan is certainly that it will be both commercially successful and improve lives in the local and wider community.  We want to bring the 0-5 community together, especially those families who have had babies during the past year and haven’t had access to the usual networks and support.

The Inns Court Community Café will be open to anyone else in the community and will serve a variety of delicious yet reasonably priced snacks and refreshments.  It will be a friendly and cosy place to come for a hot drink with a friend, and/or a quick snack: everyone will be very welcome.  In the future it will provide opportunities for volunteering and maybe even apprentices.

We are looking for the right people to manage and be involved with these community projects.  If you are interested please read the Job Description/Person Specifications before downloading the application form, below, and returning it to info@boingsoftplay.com.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,

The Trustees of Inns Court Community & Family Centre
